The Victor Can Smile

No, say it is not so, that growth, uninhibited, can be detrimental; but aye, indeed is it seen that, while growth, so frequently over-promoted, can provide nourishment and can bring about change, growth must remain in check and under strict control in order to impart the greatest benefit feasible. 

The Renaissance was a period of rebirth, intellectuals geniuses, and masterful artists, sculptors, and literary giants. A time when the poor were the poorest and the rich were the richest. Much innovation, industrialization, and intelligence was brought into the world, defining point in Europe’s history. 

In the present day life of the average American, there is a surprisingly small and ever decreasing portion of the population that earnestly strives to create, to imagine, and to invoke originality. Mainstream music, art, architecture, literature, all strain to be new and old school at once, a conundrum within itself. There is nothing wrong with this. But as for me, I find the rebirthing of the Renaissance period to be attractive to an artist’s eye. 

If it were ever that words had once been retractable then by the heavens, take me there on the instant.
